Our starting point
Rico van Loenen is the founder of 1TIS and started the company in 2008.
Over the past 18 years, we've developed robust and comprehensive back-office software that's rock solid. More than 150 travel organizations from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany use our software.
With a team of 20 employees, we work enthusiastically on our products every day. Our team consists of software developers, backend developers, frontend developers, designers, and project managers. All development happens in the Netherlands — by Dutch programmers — and we never outsource abroad. This ensures quality, continuity, and direct communication. We deliver frontend solutions through custom-built websites and backend solutions with our advanced back-office software.
Mission The mission of 1TIS is to design, deliver and innovate customer-focused software that gives our clients a demonstrable edge. In addition, we achieve smooth implementation through personal and reliable service.
Vision 1TIS aims to provide a software system that is simple for any type and size of DMC, yet complete in functionality. We strive to be the leading provider of total software solutions for the travel industry.

Favorite vacation destination: I don't have one favorite vacation destination, but I do like to go to islands like Menorca, Mallorca, the Canary Islands or the Netherlands Antilles. The Wadden Islands are also a wonderful option. I like the typical island climate: sun, sea and a cooling breeze.

Favorite vacation destination: I love visiting new countries, but for now it's Africa. Especially Kenya because of the wonderful safaris, but Namibia and South Africa are also wonderful destinations.

Favorite vacation destination: Quite frankly, none. I'm not really a person who goes on vacation a lot. My last vacation was sometime in 2013. But from history I think I would still go for Egypt, the Red Sea, for sport diving. I made 4 trips there about 25 years ago to go scuba diving. Vacations get into my skin in the form of tattoos.
